Fitness??...Grrr! Well Not anymore...Check out these tips.



Fall is here...We all should find time to get our blood flowing and hearts pumping! Being healthy is in! There are so many DVDs, health club promos, equipment (we will probably never use) out there that it tends to get a bit overwhelming.Fitness does not always have to be boring, exhausting and how can I say "ANNOYING"..I was always told find something you love/like and turn that into a calorie burning activity! I'm not an outdoorsy person but gardening is a workout in itself!! Try raking huge mounds of leave...or finding fall veggies/plants and dig up dirt and work the soil... May not seem like a big deal but incorporating 30 minutes a day/week I can burn at least 800 calories. Not bad right? Well...Hopefully this becomes a positive outlook for you to begin the road to a healthier and more active lifestyle!!


  • Go outside!!! Work in the garden or mow the grass. Rake leaves, prune, dig and pick up trash.
  • Short walk before breakfast/dinner! Just start off with a 5 minute walk..but try to build up your stamina by walking 30minutes or more!
  • Instead of driving to the store..try riding your bike or walking! Saves money and its better for you!
  • Sit up instead of lying on the sofa when watching TV,. Throw away your video remote control. Instead of asking someone to bring you a drink, get up off the couch and get it yourself.
  • Try standing while on the phone.
  • If you have a dog...WALK IT!
  • If its up high.. STRETCH...if its down low...SQUAT!
